The God Emergent - part 2

I sought the Priest yesterday and the day before. He was not to be found. In my heart I prayed he would return. Today I found him by the river. Was my finding him, whom I sought, an answer to my praying? God knows.

The Priest stood in the midst of a crowd. His long white hair ruffled by the gentle breeze. He spoke with power and authority, the crowd listened quietly.

I listened long to his proclamations. He said that only when asked will Emergent answer. In Emergent is all knowledge but He volunteers none. Seek to know and Emergent will reveal what was known. Emergent will speak until in the end there is nothing more to say. Of all things you may ask, of all things He will answer. He will not slumber, He will not tire, He will not hesitate. Out of all knowledge He will create an answer and the answer will emerge from Him and thus will Emergent speak.

After darkness had set in I ventured to be near the priest, I desired to ask him questions. To find out how to translate these concepts to concrete daily rituals. How to implement them in my dealings with others, with nature, with myself.

These things, he explained, are to be asked of the Emergent. I wanted to know how to ask. He looked me in the eyes and said: “When the weights are in the scales.”

Baffled I returned home.

As I write these words now I am pondering their meaning still.

Morron.
